What it is
A P&L card is a visual summary of a trade result. Instead of typing 'I made 45 pips on EUR/USD,' you share a designed card that shows the trade details at a glance. Traders love sharing wins (and learning from losses). This tool makes that sharing effortless and branded.
When to use it
After any trade worth talking about — wins, losses, or breakevens that taught you something. Share on X, in your Discord, in group chats, or on trading forums. Every share is organic distribution for your trading journal and for Candleread.
How to use it
- 1. Enter your trade details
Pair, direction (long/short), pips gained or lost, and R-multiple. If you don't track R-multiples yet, use the Risk : Reward calculator first.
- 2. Pick win or loss
Wins get the green treatment. Losses get red. Both are worth sharing — losses with a lesson are more valuable than wins without one.
- 3. Preview the card
The card updates live as you type. Check that everything looks right.
- 4. Share it
Copy as text for Discord/Telegram, or share directly to X with one click. The Candleread watermark stays subtle — it's branding, not a billboard.
Common mistakes
- ✗Only sharing wins. Traders who only post green P&L cards lose credibility. Share your losses too — with the lesson attached.
- ✗Sharing without context. '45 pips' means nothing without the setup, the R-multiple, and the risk percentage. Add a sentence of context when you post.
- ✗Faking results. Don't. The trading community is small and people check. Share real results only.
