Candleread respects copyright. This page explains how copyright owners can request removal of allegedly infringing material and how affected users can respond.
Copyright agent contact
Send copyright notices to Candleread at hello@candleread.com. Put “DMCA notice” in the subject line.
What to include in a takedown notice
A complete notice should include:
- Your legal name and contact information.
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim was infringed.
- The exact Candleread URL or location of the material at issue.
- A good-faith statement that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
What happens next
If a notice appears complete and valid, we may remove or disable access to the material while we review it. We may also notify the user who posted or supplied the material.
Counter-notices
If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, email hello@candleread.com with “DMCA counter-notice” in the subject line. Include your contact information, the removed material, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake, consent to jurisdiction where legally required, and your physical or electronic signature.
Repeat infringement
We may terminate accounts or access for repeat copyright infringement or for abuse of the takedown process.
