Candleread uses a small amount of browser storage to make the product work: theme preference, placement state, learning progress, checkout/session safety, and abuse prevention. We do not use advertising cookies.
What we use
- Strictly necessary cookies. Used for secure sessions, checkout, fraud prevention, and services required to deliver the website.
- Local storage. Used for course placement, current lesson, completed lessons, quiz progress, theme preference, and similar product state on this device.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request details such as path, IP address, and user agent for debugging, security, and abuse prevention.
What we do not use
- No third-party advertising cookies.
- No Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or Google Ads remarketing tag.
- No sale of cookie data or cross-site advertising profile.
Payments and third-party services
Stripe, Apple, Vercel, Resend, or other infrastructure providers may set their own necessary cookies or use equivalent browser storage when you use checkout, email, hosting, or app-store services. Their use is limited to providing those services and is covered in our Privacy Policy.
Your controls
You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings. If you clear local storage, Candleread may forget your saved placement, current lesson, completed lesson list, quiz state, and theme preference on that device.
