Bull / Bullish

A trader or outlook that expects prices to rise. "Bullish" means optimistic about upside.

A bull is someone who thinks prices are going up. "I'm bullish on EUR/USD" means "I think EUR/USD will rise." The term comes from the way a bull attacks โ€” thrusting its horns upward. Bulls BUY. A "bull market" is a sustained uptrend โ€” higher highs and higher lows on the chart. A "bullish candle" is a green candle that closed higher than it opened. A "bullish setup" is a chart pattern that suggests the next move will be up. Bullishness is a bias, not a strategy. Being bullish doesn't mean you enter a trade; it means you're looking for longs. The setup and risk rules still matter.
Real trade example

Being bullish on gold from $1,800 to $2,700 between 2023 and 2025 was one of the best trades of the decade โ€” 900-pip targets hit with clean trend-following setups.
